Holiday Cocktail

Ingredients for Potomac:
• 2 ounces Old Overholt Rye Whiskey
• 3/4 ounce elderflower liqueur
• 3/4 ounce fresh apple juice
• 1/2 ounce* fresh lime juice

Preparation for Potomac:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a collins glass filled with fresh ice.
2. G arnish with a sprig of fresh mint.

Ingredients for Thanksgiving Lemonade:
• 1 1/2 ounces Oloroso Sherry
• 1 ounce Plymouth Sloe Gin
• 1/2 ounce* fresh lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation for Thanksgiving Lemonade:
1. Shake ingredients well over ice and strain into a collins glass filled with fresh ice.
2. Top with chilled seltzer or club soda.
3. G arnish with a lemon wheel.

Ingredients for Pre-Turkey Special:
• 1 ounce Pama Pomegranate Liqueur
• 1 1/2 ounces Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey
• 2 ounces citrus sour (equal parts fresh citrus juice and simple syrup)
• 1 barspoon of preserves — bartender’s choice!

Preparation for Pre-Turkey Special:
1. Shake ingredients over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
2. G arnish with a sprig of lemon balm.

*If you are not using a jigger to measure, 1/2 ounce is equal to 1 tablespoon.

ENTERTAINING TIP FROM IS AAC MIZRAHI
Hire a bartender! If you’ve got your hands full with cooking dinner and entertaining guests, having an extra set of hands to shake up cocktails and pour wine will really take the pressure off.
